Our Mātauranga Māori team Co-ordinate a range of initiatives and projects valuable to the revitalization of our Taonga Tuku Iho and our connection to our Whakapapa, Ngapumanawa e Waru.
Ngapumanawa e Waru 2025-2026 is offering a range of wananga and/or individual activities and public events that will improve the hauora of Māori whānau, hapū and iwi by supporting the revitalisation, expansion and practice of Mātauranga Māori within a Hauora Māori context. These Wananga are open to anyone over the age of 16 to attend, whether you are searching for your whakapapa links, interested in Taonga Puoro or already on a learning journey, all are welcome to attend.
We are currently offering the following initiatives:
- Whakapapa Wānanga
- Taonga Puoro Wānanga
- Rangatahi Maara Kai Initiative
- Mātauranga Māori promotion at Community Events
If you’re interested in any of our upcoming initiatives, please contact our Project Lead, Te Pae Fitzell tfitzell@pikiaorunanga.org.nz, or follow our FB page where we regularly post up Wananga details.
We look forward to seeing you at some of our future kaupapa!
